From January 15 – 18, 2013, The Army Nurse Corps hosted its annual Colonel Charles J. Reddy Leadership Course at the Defense Health Headquarters. For this unique event, over fifty Army Nurse Corps junior officers from the Active and Reserve components were nominated to attend. This leadership course exposes the future leaders of The Army Nurse Corps to senior leadership philosophies and concepts across the federal government. The focus of this year’s course was capability building, talent management, and leadership development. The Army Nurse Corps believes that it is more important than ever to ensure that their junior officers are prepared for the leadership roles they will assume in the years ahead. Each year, the officers are nominated for the Chief, Army Nurse Corps Award of Excellence, for outstanding performance. LTG (Ret.) Michael Rochelle was guest speaker at the awards dinner.
